Sharon Augsburger

Founder/Artistic Director


Sharon Augsburger is one of the Founders/ Artistic Directors of RRCCLC. She is a graduate of Ball State University with a BA and Masters Degree in Music Education. She holds a certificate from the Orff Institute in Austria and specializes in the Orff method of music and movement education. Sharon has worked as a music specialist in the public schools and has extensive experience as a choral director, clinician, church musician, and private voice instructor.She piloted a program for the former Jubilate Children’s Choir and conducted there for five seasons. She taught K-5 music for over 25 years in the Avoca School District, Wilmette,
Illinois.

Jacquelyn Negus

Founder/Artistic Director

Jacquelyn Negus is one of the Founders/Artistic Directors of RRCCLC. She is a graduate of Ball State University with a BA in music education. She holds an MA in choral conducting from the University of Miami. Jacque has worked professionally as a public schoolteacher, choir director, clinician, early childhood music specialist, church musician, private voice instructor, choreographer and sings with the Lakeside Singers. Jacque owned Kindermusik Northwest and conducted for the former Jubilate Children’s Choir. She currently is the middle school choral director at Quest Academy in Palatine, IL and is the regional children’s choir representative for the American Choral Directors Association.

Pat Cole

Assistant Music Conductor

Pat graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Vocal Performance.  She has taught general music in various schools in Lake County. Currently, Pat teaches K-5 music at Santa Maria del Popolo School. She cantors at St. Mary of Annunciation in Fremont Center. She has been with the Red Rose Children’s Choir since 1998.

Amy Younts

Executive Director

Amy  has been serving RRCCLC since 1997 as the choir administrator. She has a BA from Miami University in sociology and holds certificates in Non Profit Management and Governance from North Park University. Amy has worked as a juvenile probation office, Family Life Educator, and in the development department for One Hope United. She has volunteered for numerous community organizations.
