Sharon Augsburger, Founder/Artistic Director of RRCCLC, received a BA and MA in Music Education from Ball State University. She holds a certificate from the Orff Institute in Austria and is a master teacher in the Orff method of music and movement education. Sharon has worked as a music specialist in the public schools and has extensive experience as a choral director, clinician, church musician, and private voice instructor. She piloted a program for the former Jubilate Children’s Choir and conducted there for five seasons. Sharon taught general music for over 25 years in the Avoca School District, Wilmette, Illinois. She specializes in vocal training for young singers in a choral setting.
Jacquelyn Negus, Founder/Artistic Director of RRCCLC, received a BA in music education from Ball State University, and an MA in Choral Conducting from the University of Miami. Jacque has worked professionally as a public school educator, choral director, clinician, early childhood music specialist, church musician, private voice instructor, choreographer and professional singer. She is one of the original singers of the Lakeside Singers, a nationally acclaimed professional choir. Jacque owned Kindermusik Northwest and conducted for the former Jubilate Children’s Choir. She taught general music and was the middle school choral director at Quest Academy in Palatine, IL. Jacque has served as the regional children’s choir representative for the American Choral Director’s Association. Along with her husband, Jon Negus, Jacque has produced artistic, high quality recordings for children that are used in Kindermusik programs around the world. Jacque has been recognized as a gifted choral director who helps young women to create artistically and bridge into the adult vocal sound.
Amy Younts is the Executive Director/Founder and has been serving RRCCLC since the choirs inception in 1997. She has a BA from Miami University in sociology and holds certificates in Non Profit Management and Governance from North Park University. Amy has worked as a juvenile probation officer, Family Life Educator, and in the development department for One Hope United. She has volunteered for numerous community organizations.
Christine Lim is the accompanist for Concert Choir, Master Singers, and Bella Rosa. She obtained her BA in Music at Ewah Women’s University in Seoul, Korea. She received her MA and Certificate in Piano Performance from Northwestern University. She has studied with David Kaserman and Sylvia Wang. She currently is a faculty member of National Lewis University. She has been with RRCCLC since 2004.
Pat Cole is assistant conductor for Prelude Choir. She has a BA in vocal performance from DePaul University. She cantors at St. Mary of the Annunciation and teaches K-5 music at St. Francis deSales School in Lake Zurich. She has been with RRCCLC since 1998.
Jennifer Revis is the Prelude Choir, and Boys Choir accompanist. She graduated with a BS in accounting, business administration, and applied computer science from Illinois State University. She is currently a pre school piano teacher. She has been with RRCCLC since 1999.
LeAnn Malecha is assistant conductor for Concert Choir. She has a B.A. in Music Education from Knox College. She has taught piano and general music in public schools for 24 years. She has been involved in choral singing or accompanying most of her life! LeAnn sings in the choir at the First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville and directs the Joyful Noise Choir. She has been with RRCCLC since 2009.
Beth Malecha is the director of our Bell Choir. She has a B.A. degree in chemistry from Augustana, 2013 and is employed at Medline in Mundelein. She currently plays in the adult handbell choir at 1st Presbyterian Church in Libertyville and is an alumnae of RRCCLC.
Jonathan Weppler is the director of the Lake County Boys Choir. He is a graduate of Hope College with a BA in music education. He has a MA in general music from Vandercook College of Music. Jonathan currently teaches K-5 General Music in the Libertyville School District 70. Jonathan has worked professionally as a voice teacher, musical theater vocal director, and sings with the Lakeside Singers of Evanston, Illinois.
